YouTube: The Most Awesome Waste of Time - Milk Crate Sea Dragon





Check out this 0:43 video of stop motion animation, involving milk crates and photos. They took hours and a few days to get this video put together.

The way that stop animation works is you take a photo of the object, then move it slightly to the movement that you desire, then snap photo, then repeat process until you're down with the movement required for the scene. Then in the editing process they put the photos one after another to complete the animation of the character. Best examples of this type of work is The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, James and The Giant Peach, Coraline, and others.
